Asian shares rise on valuations, dollar declines

Asian shares climbed to near a record, buoyed by optimism over earnings and regional economic growth as investors broadened their focus beyond US markets. The MSCI Asia Pacific Index advanced 0.9% on Wednesday for a second day of gains.
